When she isn’t homeschooling, or helping to run the children’s program at church, Jil is debating with her fictional characters… and losing. Jil completed her Bachelor of Arts and Education and went on to complete her Masters of Education, PhD coursework in Literacy Education and is a certified reading specialist.
Jil lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and four kids, where they mountain bike, kayak, cliff jump, and snowboard together. They also love camping, roller coasters, and waterslides! She loves to speak at homeschool conferences where she equips and encourages other parents.
Heart of a Bowman, book one of her debut fantasy trilogy, the Vertical Horizon Series, won a 2024 Foundation Award in YA fiction. It is Jil’s greatest hope that her stories would echo the gospel and point readers to Christ.
