I Got a Book Deal!

Soooo, a year ago I wrote three books, one right after the other, between 10:00pm when my husband goes to bed and 2:00am, when I would wake up disoriented on our couch. I know that sounds crazy, but I loved every second of it. It was a trilogy, and the story was good... I hoped... I actually had no real idea.

My friend Sara, the only real author I know, was extremely helpful, and probably too encouraging. She invited me to go to a writer's conference in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I had no idea that my life would forever change. I attended the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writer's Conference last spring, and returned a girl on fire.

I learned many things. I tried my best to apply those things and I must have succeeded to some degree, because I just signed my first contract. My trilogy will be released beginning in January of 2026, and honestly, it's a miracle.

I wanted to share what I have learned in succeeding to get a book deal, as well as my journey through the publishing process which is about to begin. I thought that it might be helpful to someone, maybe?

I have to warn you, I am a 'tryer.' I try, and I don't give up... ever. 'Trying' in this industry is unequivocally the hardest thing I have ever done, and simultaneously the most rewarding.
